This market will resolve to "Yes" if Emmanuel Macron ceases to be President of France for any length of time between January 2 and December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET (inclusive). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If Macron departs from office before the expiry date, the market should resolve immediately. The primary resolution source for this market will be information from the government of France, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.

Its now already 100000 protestors killed. Before Macron regime French female went around with tight clothes, now they have much more cloathes on its oppression!
Quilty5d
Update: Its now 45000.
Quilty5d
NEW: French riot police killed 20000 innocent protestors in the middle of street.

Bit pointless tbh. Macron will finish his second term, there is no uncertainty.

Macron's forced exit by summer 2026 amid pension riots and EU budget woes could hand the reins to a populist firebrand eager to torch Brussels' fiscal orthodoxy.

At this point, who knows? It's starting to give Louis XVI hiding out in his palace vibes. If - once? - Lecornu gets kicked out, all bets are off.

@SatoAkira un ptit mot sur le fabuleux nouveau gouvernement ? Bruno de retour, je suis en fou rire
DFK394d
We agree. However I was hoping to get 15%. But there is still the 18th for that haha
Waterfall395d
And as you said, even his resignation wouldn't lead to anything
DontTrustMe395d
LFI even know themselves that their destitution attempt has strictly 0.0000% chance of succeeding. If there was a way for Macron to spin his resignation as a graceful and courageous act to do, he might have been the kind of guy to actually do it. But in the current context, it's impossible. Plus his own camp is not even ready.
Waterfall395d
10% for 3/4 months is still insane, around 30/40% per year is a dream investment, with very to little no risk if we're being honest, there's more chance to see him die than resign
Waterfall395d
He wants to stay, and no one will remove him, LFI is funny thinking they have a chance to make him leave kek. Not a single president resigned in like 70 years, he won't be the first, especially after being president after 8 years
DontTrustMe395d
I think it's a safe "No" yeah. Right now, the most crucial thing for France is to vote a budget for 2026. Macron's resignation would hardly solve anything. He wouldn't want to appear as a failed president who was forced to resign and who plunged France into even more uncertain times. Only new general elections being called before the end of the year is a realistic possibility.
DFK395d
Not done loading up...kinda disappointed. Maybe the 18th will yield better odds.

Aight thanks for that free 10% in 3 month

YOU don't understand anything about frnch politics. It's sure that if his PM goes down, and semi-chaos takes the coutry by storm in sept, he'll be weak, and who knows ... U are just trying to fit your opinion here.
Loriztx411d
You don't understand anything about French political system, there is no world in which Macron is out.

still you do see my point that the judge was not a neutral one as it should be...but as I said, biased judges becoming a serious problem (also in US and Germany especially)
vanaik524d
you're deflecting and Lagarde was not even accused of embezzlement
THEZOHANMamdani524d
why is Lagarda not in prison then? she took much more...and the judge has openly called for not voting Le Pen before the last election, judges are becoming more and more of a problem...
vanaik524d
it was a court decision and she actually stole money. Hardly Marcon's fault
Manu888525d
Absolutely not
neolelu526d
me neither its looks like free because he will never resign and said he never will...
DFK532d
There are a few crisis brewing in France, and a complete political paralysis that French people blame Macron for. He went through a number of governments and is kinda out of magic bullets. As always in France the make or break of this market will be in September when protests and strike will likely pop up everywhere, the question will be about the intensity of those, and the asks. It's not impossible they ask for Macron's head, but for him to accept to be guillotined is another story.

Before the end of his term there is no exit mechanism other than his own will. If anything, there is something you don't understand about Macron (or any power junkie world leader).
eowimxdc615d
How is it possible for him to stay in power? Is there something I don't understand about French politics?
DFK627d
I would load in on no like a mf if I didn't think we might get a better price when the current gvt falls. That will be, I think, the real entry point.
manucelib35635d
As he lost the former popular it seems impossible that a new referendum would give him a majority. The assembly cannot be dissolved before next July, but if he does it the far right party would win. Bayrou's speech and the announces of the different political parties illustrated the fragility of this new government. What the far right, as well as the left want is Macron's resignation. So indeed nobody can force him out, and for the moment he can find a culprit, but this is just short term. In the long term, it sounds like a dead end issue....But still, you're right, nobody can predict the future...
DFK635d
I meant more likely to be the end of the 5th than the end of Macron. But the 5th may last another few years.
DFK635d
As a matter of fact he does have a choice. Nobody can force him out. And accepting responsibility is not in his nature, nor is accepting defeat. He will stay no matter what. If things get real touchy, he will pull a rabbit from his hat like a referendum on this or that, or even a popular consultation on drawing a new constitution. He will find a culprit and trust me it won't be himself. He can do as he pleases. What we are witnessing is more likely the end of the 5th republic.

SuperDarli637d
No, he did not.
Kayane1641d
You mean Bayrou? Sounds like an easy win
RiukLeVrai641d
He already said he was reconsiderating the option of leaving if his pm couldn t handle a majority for the second time
manucelib35641d
the fact that he said that he won't leave doesn't matter. With no majority in the parliament, paralyzed institutions, eventually Macron won't have the choice...
THEZOHANMamdani643d
his new PM will be ousted quickly as the parliament is in gridlock...then the next step is Macron...
