# Render

Render is a cloud hosting platform that provides auto-scaling web services, static sites, and databases with continuous deployment from Git.

- Category: Developer
- Connection: API key. Paste your own Render API key once. It is stored encrypted and only your workspace uses it.
- Plans: Free: Not included; MCP only ($9/mo): 2,000 calls a month; Pro: 20,000 calls a month; Max: 20,000 calls a month

## Tools

- List deploys (`RENDER__LIST_DEPLOYS`): List all deployments for a specific service, including their status and deployment details.
- List env vars (`RENDER__LIST_ENV_VARS`): List all environment variables for a specific service.
- List key value instances (`RENDER__LIST_KEY_VALUE_INSTANCES`): List all Key Value instances in your Render account.
- List log label values (`RENDER__LIST_LOG_LABEL_VALUES`): List all values for a given log label in the logs matching the provided filters.

- Get postgres instance (`RENDER__GET_POSTGRES_INSTANCE`): Retrieve details about a specific Postgres instance including configuration, status, and connection information.
- Get service (`RENDER__GET_SERVICE`): Retrieve details about a specific service by its ID.
- Get workspace (`RENDER__GET_WORKSPACE`): Retrieve details of a specific workspace by its owner ID.
- Create key value instance (`RENDER__CREATE_KEY_VALUE_INSTANCE`): Create a new Key Value instance.
- Create postgres instance (`RENDER__CREATE_POSTGRES_INSTANCE`): Create a new Postgres database instance with specified configuration including plan, region, and initial settings.

## Questions

### How do I connect Render to Krypton?

Open Integrations in Krypton, find Render and choose Connect, then paste your API key. Every bot in the workspace can then use it, and you choose which bots get which apps.

### Which plan includes Render?

MCP only with 2,000 calls a month, Pro and Max with 20,000. Calls are shared by every catalog app in the workspace. Past the monthly number they keep working from AI credits at $0.90 per 1,000 calls; the count resets on the 1st (UTC) and a retried call counts once.

### Can I use Render from Claude or Cursor?

Yes. Connect it in your workspace, then add https://mcp.krypton.bot as a streamable HTTP MCP server with your kmcp_ workspace key. Calls count toward the same monthly number.
