# OneSignal

OneSignal is a comprehensive customer engagement solution that provides push notifications, in-app messaging, email, and SMS services. This integration enables managing and sending cross-platform notifications, tracking user engagement, and accessing notification analytics.

- Category: Communication
- Connection: API key. Paste your own OneSignal API key once. It is stored encrypted and only your workspace uses it.
- Plans: Free: Not included; MCP only ($9/mo): 2,000 calls a month; Pro: 20,000 calls a month; Max: 20,000 calls a month
- Consent: Sending consent (https://krypton.bot/terms/#publishing). Before OneSignal connects, you confirm the sending consent: your bots send and move messages as you, and you are the sender of every message.

## Tools

- Create push notification (`ONE_SIGNAL__CREATE_PUSH_NOTIFICATION`): Sends a push notification to users via the OneSignal API. Supports targeting by segments, filters, or specific device identifiers. Allows customization of message content, scheduling, and platform-specific options.
- Create subscription by alias (`ONE_SIGNAL__CREATE_SUBSCRIPTION_BY_ALIAS`): Adds a new subscription to an existing user identified by alias. Subscriptions represent a user's intent to receive messages through a given channel (e.g., push, email, SMS). Requires the user to be pre-created. If the subscription (type + token) already exists, it will be transferred to the specified user.
- Add device (`ONE_SIGNAL__ADD_DEVICE`): Registers a new device with OneSignal. If a device with the specified identifier already exists, it updates the existing device record instead of creating a new one. Note: Using this endpoint directly without the OneSignal SDK may limit certain features such as conversion tracking, timezone detection, language detection, and rich push notifications.
- Edit device (`ONE_SIGNAL__EDIT_DEVICE`): Updates an existing device (player) in a OneSignal app. This endpoint allows modification of device attributes such as language, timezone, app version, device model, operating system, and custom tags. Note: This is a legacy endpoint; it's recommended to use 'Update User' or 'Update Subscription' instead.
- View messages (`ONE_SIGNAL__VIEW_MESSAGES`): Retrieves a list of up to 50 messages (push, email, or SMS) sent via OneSignal. Supports filtering by message type, template ID, and time offset. Pagination is handled via limit and offset parameters. Note: Messages sent through the API and Automated Messages are only accessible for 30 days after creation; messages sent using the OneSignal dashboard are accessible for the app's lifetime.

## Questions

### How do I connect OneSignal to Krypton?

Open Integrations in Krypton, find OneSignal and choose Connect, then paste your API key. Every bot in the workspace can then use it, and you choose which bots get which apps.

### Which plan includes OneSignal?

MCP only with 2,000 calls a month, Pro and Max with 20,000. Calls are shared by every catalog app in the workspace. Past the monthly number they keep working from AI credits at $0.90 per 1,000 calls; the count resets on the 1st (UTC) and a retried call counts once.

### Can I use OneSignal from Claude or Cursor?

Yes. Connect it in your workspace, then add https://mcp.krypton.bot as a streamable HTTP MCP server with your kmcp_ workspace key. Calls count toward the same monthly number.
