# Neon

Neon Serverless Postgres integration. Get started with Neon, manage projects and databases, pick connection methods, and create branches for migration testing and isolated development.

Neon is a serverless Postgres database service with a generous free tier, providing instant autoscaling and automated storage optimization.

- Category: Data
- Connection: Sign in. Sign in with your Neon account, or paste an API key instead.
- Plans: Free: Not included; MCP only ($9/mo): 2,000 calls a month; Pro: 20,000 calls a month; Max: 20,000 calls a month

## Tools

- List api keys (`NEON__LIST_API_KEYS`): List all API keys for the authenticated user.
- List operations (`NEON__LIST_OPERATIONS`): Retrieves a list of operations for the specified Neon project. Operations older than 6 months may be deleted.
- List projects (`NEON__LIST_PROJECTS`): Retrieves a list of projects for the Neon account. A project is the top-level object in the Neon object hierarchy.
- List shared projects (`NEON__LIST_SHARED_PROJECTS`): Retrieves a list of shared projects for the Neon account. A project is the top-level object in the Neon object hierarchy.
- Create api key (`NEON__CREATE_API_KEY`): Create a new API key for the authenticated user.
- Create project (`NEON__CREATE_PROJECT`): Creates a Neon project. A project is the top-level object in the Neon object hierarchy. Plan limits define how many projects you can create.
- Delete project (`NEON__DELETE_PROJECT`): Deletes the specified project. You can obtain a project_id by listing the projects for your Neon account. Deleting a project is a permanent action. Deleting a project also deletes endpoints, branches, databases, and users that belong to the project.
- Get project (`NEON__GET_PROJECT`): Retrieves information about the specified project. A project is the top-level object in the Neon object hierarchy. You can obtain a project_id by listing the projects for your Neon account.
- Retrieve operation details (`NEON__RETRIEVE_OPERATION_DETAILS`): Retrieves details for the specified operation. An operation is an action performed on a Neon project resource.
- Revoke api key (`NEON__REVOKE_API_KEY`): Revokes the specified API key. This action cannot be reversed.

## Skills included

- neon: Overview of the Neon platform for apps and agents, spanning Postgres, Auth, Data API, and the new services: Object Storage, Compute Functions, and AI Gateway. Use whenever "Neon" is mentioned for an overview of how to work with Neon and how to get started. Otherwise, the individual capabilities are the
- neon-postgres: Guides and best practices for working with Neon Serverless Postgres. Covers setup, connection methods, branching, autoscaling, scale-to-zero, read replicas, connection pooling, Neon Auth, and the Neon CLI, MCP server, REST API, TypeScript SDK, and Python SDK. Use when users ask about "Neon setup", "connect to Neon", "Neon project", "DATABASE_URL", "serverless Postgres", "Neon CLI", "neonctl", "Neon MCP", "Neon Auth", "@neondatabase/serverless", "@neondatabase/neon-js", "scale to zero", "Neon autoscaling", "Neon read replica", or "Neon connection pooling".
- neon-postgres-branches: Choose and create the right Neon branch type for testing and development. Use when users ask about Neon branching, migration testing with real data, isolated test environments, schema-only branch workflows for sensitive data, or branch creation via Neon CLI or Neon MCP. Triggers include "Neon branch", "test migrations safely", "branch production data", "schema-only branch", "reset branch" and "sensitive data testing".

## Questions

### How do I connect Neon to Krypton?

Open Integrations in Krypton, find Neon and choose Sign in. Every bot in the workspace can then use it, and you choose which bots get which apps.

### Which plan includes Neon?

MCP only with 2,000 calls a month, Pro and Max with 20,000. Calls are shared by every catalog app in the workspace. Past the monthly number they keep working from AI credits at $0.90 per 1,000 calls; the count resets on the 1st (UTC) and a retried call counts once.

### Can I use Neon from Claude or Cursor?

Yes. Connect it in your workspace, then add https://mcp.krypton.bot as a streamable HTTP MCP server with your kmcp_ workspace key. Calls count toward the same monthly number.
