# About Krypton Bot

Krypton, an open source Grok Bot alternative, is built around persistent AI teammates. Its bots can drive a browser and a shell, hold on to the context of a job, follow routines on a timetable and stop to ask for approval when they hit a limit you set. It is made for the repeatable operational work of a business, not for one-off chat.

## Why we build it

An agent is only useful when the people running it can see what it does and steer it. So routines live in plain Markdown you can read, several model providers are supported, every action lands in an audit log, and operators keep their model keys, browser sessions and deployment infrastructure in their own hands.

## Where it runs

Krypton has clients for the web, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. CloudWish maintains the project and publishes the source under the Apache-2.0 license; public issues and contributions are welcome on GitHub. Support is at support@krypton.bot.

The GitHub repository is the free community edition, provided as is without support or warranty. Krypton Cloud features such as the admin console, the MCP catalog and MCP-only plan, hosted Gmail, trading and ads gateways, Krypton AI credits and managed computers come only with Krypton Cloud plans and private cloud deployments. See [Open-source edition and Krypton Cloud](https://krypton.bot/terms/#open-source).
